LARK Distillery
LARK Distillery Annual Report

The Client
Lark Distillery is one of Tasmania’s most iconic brands and a key figure in the revival of Australian whisky production. Founded in 1992, Lark became the first licensed producer of single malt whisky in Tasmania in over 150 years, helping establish the state as a respected whisky-producing region on the global stage.
Now an ASX-listed company with international recognition, Lark represents the intersection of heritage, environment and contemporary craft. Its annual report plays a critical role in communicating performance and direction to investors, while reinforcing the brand story that underpins the business.
The Brief
As Lark has grown in scale and profile, its annual report has become an increasingly important touchpoint. Beyond meeting statutory requirements, the document needed to communicate confidence, clarity and credibility to a national and international audience.
The 2024–25 annual report was required to:
- Present complex financial and corporate information clearly and confidently
- Reflect the premium positioning of the brand through strong visual design
- Make effective use of new photography and narrative content
- Work seamlessly in both print and digital formats
- Be structured in a way that allows efficient adaptation for future reporting periods
The challenge was to create a document that could sit comfortably alongside reports from other major Australian companies, while still reflecting the authenticity, quality and sense of place that defines Lark.

Annual Report

Our Approach
Balancing clarity with craft.
Our design approach centred on creating a visually confident document that balances precise communication with strong storytelling. A structured layout system was developed to organise financial information clearly, while allowing space for imagery and narrative to play a meaningful role throughout the report.
Photography became a defining feature of the document. Images were carefully selected and positioned to create visual rhythm, introduce key sections and reinforce Lark’s connection to landscape, people and production. Rather than being decorative, imagery was integrated purposefully to add depth and context, giving the report a distinctive presence and sense of scale.
From the outset, print and digital outputs were considered together. Tables, charts and key figures were designed for clarity and accessibility, ensuring investors and stakeholders could navigate information with ease. The result was a fully integrated document underpinned by a consistent layout framework that can be adapted efficiently for future reporting cycles.

The Outcome
A confident report that reflects scale and ambition.
The final annual report delivers a polished, visually engaging document that reflects Lark’s standing as a leading Australian whisky producer operating on an international stage.
Investors and stakeholders are presented with a clear, cohesive narrative supported by strong visual design and accessible financial information. The printed booklet offers a premium physical experience aligned with the Lark brand, while the digital version ensures accessibility for a broader audience.
By placing photography, layout and storytelling at the centre of the document, the report communicates confidence, scale and long-term vision, reinforcing Lark’s premium positioning while meeting the practical demands of investor communication.
