The Challenge

Country Club Casino got behind the Australian cricket season with a heavy media commitment for the length of the season appearing throughout 20/20, ODI the tests and the world cup games.

The Strategy

What does a casino and cricket have in common. Not much! That being said they are both about entertainment. We needed to attract people watching the cricket to consider another form of entertainment. We knew not everyone was that into cricket. In fact when we started throwing cricket terms around the office the reactions from some people were precious. Thank you. We created some CRICKETISMS and sent our creative team to film the responses of some of the guests at Country Club. The script really was thrown out and the ad wrote itself. In fact we ended up creating 6 separate TVC’s with more laughs to come.

The Impact

In effect the ads were less about the venue and much more about the customers and guests.
The response has provided more than we bargained for. Everyone got a laugh. Was entertained and talked about, the ad leant itself to a much larger campaign providing a great value add and in the end got customers thinking to get off the couch and visit Country Club.
