End of an Error

The Challenge

In October 2013 The Tasmanian Government became only the second state in Australia to ban plastic shopping bags. The policy needed to convey a message to encourage people to bring an alternative carry bag and announce the end of an environmental tragedy.

The Strategy

The initiative triggered a sense of responsibility at our studio and after much research we developed a heart warming, touching and informative concept for our neighbours in the Victorian State Government to follow SA and Tassie passing legislation to rid Australia of plastic bags.

It’s estimated world wide that 1 trillion bags are used and discarded every year. It makes sense that it’s time for change and in fact the END OF AN ERROR.

The Impact

As do the wheels of industry move slowly we recruited local lobby groups including the River Keepers Association and The Melbourne Zoo who have championed the campaign and adopted the principle for their own inhouse conservation program.
