Sprintaprint:
Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery
To coincide with ‘The Painted Portrait Photograph in Tasmania: 1850-1900’ exhibition, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery commissioned at+m integrated marketing to print a colourful and informative catalogue of the showcased portraits.

The exhibition, and catalogue, put on display painted portraits of Tasmanian men and women from the 19th century, an era long before the emergence of colour photography. The interesting interaction between portrait painting and photography, artists and photographers, and the range of techniques used to produce a painted photograph are detailed in the exhibition and catalogue.
Of key importance to the client in their selection of a printer to complete this project was the crucial requirement for reproducing the paintings in the catalogue how they would appear on display. We are well known for our ability to produce high quality print solutions, a fact supported by a number of awards won in this category.
To ensure the client’s objectives were reached, our design and print teams invited representatives from the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery to conduct on site proofing, where they inspected printed versions of the portraits for their quality when reproduced.
The final result is an excellent catalogue capturing a significant part of Australian art history. The art photographers portrayed in the exhibition held a key role in 19th century Australian portraiture, and the print solutions provided by at+m integrated marketing allow art lovers to enjoy their works into the future.
