at+m approached Launceston local and popular national TV identity, Dr. Harry Cooper, to appear in a testimonial style spot for The Eye Hospital.

Having recently undergone laser eye surgery himself at The Eye Hospital, Dr. Harry was the perfect spokesman for the procedure. Given the nature of the surgery, it was also important for the person involved to exude credibility. Dr. Harry, with his honest, approachable and reassuring manner, was an ideal fit for the task. To provide a further sense of familiarity for local patients, part of the outdoor footage was shot in the lush green surrounds of Dr. Harry’s Hobby Farm, Arcadian Downs, at Relbia.

It’s preferable, when selecting a potential spokesperson or brand ambassador, for that person to have a relevant link to the product or service, whether it’s through firsthand experience, shared values or an established local history.
