Our Environmental Credentials
at+m integrated marketing achieves international Environmental Management System Certification

2007 was a big year for at+m integrated marketing. Some of our greatest achievements were repositioning ourselves as providers of integrated marketing solutions, and implementing and gaining accreditation for our Environmental Management System.
In 2008 at+m integrated marketing will continue to research, develop and implement new technology and processes as part of our ongoing quest to develop and maintain the cleanest production methods possible. In November 2007 we were awarded a grant through the CleanBiz Tasmania Grant Scheme, which will go someway in assisting us with the investment required to install a solar hot water system.
Due to be installed by early March, the new, environmentally responsible system will become the sole source of hot water to our production and office areas. Stay tuned for the preliminary energy savings this system has made, as well as updates on other environmental initiatives at+m integrated marketing are implementing.
Our Rebranding
Our well known operations, AT&M Advertising and Sprinta Print rebranded to at+m integrated marketing
In 2000 AT&M Advertising and SprintaPrint merged to form The AT&M Group, which in itself was a major directional change for two very different operations; but it has been a very successful alliance. At the time, given the strong market positions of both brands, both businesses continued to promote services under individual names; despite literally operating under the one roof.
However, in 2005, our customer survey highlighted some confusion remained in the marketplace regarding the relationship between the two businesses, and the services offered. In response to this, we began the process of officially consolidating the two business brands under the one name, and refining our range of complementary services.
The first step in developing the long term strategic direction of the business was the development of a comprehensive business plan. This plan pulled together the results of the customer survey, market research, competitor analysis and more, into a concise document that would inform and guide the development of corporate and marketing strategies.
Our first task was to engage in a comprehensive re-branding exercise. This included the development of the new company name, 'at+m integrated marketing' and a new logo. Our new positioning statement, 'creating positive results' exemplified the new direction of our business. You have probably noticed that we have completely revamped our corporate image (both inside and outside the building). To complement this we have introduced all new corporate communication material and employee uniforms are currently been finalised.
In the past 6 months we have made inroads in phase two of our rebranding exercise, which includes a strong emphasis on public relations including our new website, television commercials, print advertising, and a local sponsorship program.
So far the process has been exciting and interesting. The hard part was establishing a base from which to start. But now we have that in place, we will revisit it regularly. All in all the process has allowed our staff to develop and enhance their skill base, particularly in the areas of branding and strategy development. These skills we can now confidently pass on to new and existing clients.
National Gallery of Australia Tender
The Art of Printing

The National Gallery of Australia is home to some of the country's most valued artworks. Every year, tourists from all over the world, and art-lovers from across Australia visit Canberra to spend a few hours feeding the soul with images created by the great artists throughout history. Adding to this experience is a Tasmanian based printer, yes us, as we recently won the right to call our self a preferred supplier to the National Gallery of Australia; an honour never before bestowed on a Tasmanian printer and we are justifiably proud of this achievement.
One of the key facets of our business that appealed to the judgement panel was our own specialist print procedure marketed under the brand Rethink®. We developed Rethink® to give Tasmanian companies a real choice in how they printed all their marketing material. Many printers push recycled paper, without paying any attention to the actual print process. However, we developed a complete environmentally responsible process that maintains a commercial quality, while lowering the impact our product has on the environment.
We have already produced and delivered the first of our contracted work and we are looking forward to seeing the product in situ when we next visit the custodian of Australia's national treasures in Canberra. For us, this contract not only enables us to enhance our own company profile; but it provides us with the opportunity to further improve our printing and production services, which translate to better service and output for all our clients.
Client Focus
A pipeline to success in marketing...
The name Manion Plumbing is well known in Tasmania. Their fleet of vans is regularly seen traversing the streets as they attend to the many commercial and domestic plumbing needs of our homes and businesses.
Identifying a need to build on their name, and growing range of services offered, Manion Plumbing approached us for assistance with the refining of their brand and positioning of their well established plumbing business. Their brief set out the need to refocus and clarify their business offering in the face of competition and a diversification of their products and services.
The primary task to be completed was the development of a new modern website, which would become a valuable promotional tool for all areas of the plumbing business. Here, it was important to ensure that the creative approach for the website was a success as it needed to support the long-term marketing strategies Manion Plumbing intended to carry out in the future.
Manion Plumbing's primary focus is to maintain their position as a leader in plumbing services, as well as build and promote the range of complementary services they offer, such as bathroom renovations, repairs and supplier of hot water cylinders.
Being a distributor for BioCycle® aerobic wastewater treatment systems, allows Manion Plumbing to assist both homeowners and businesses to clean up their act, quite literally. This environmentally responsible system efficiently separates and digests solid wastes and treats wastewater in a series of controlled biological processes. In doing so, the system achieves a level of purity unattainable by conventional septic systems. The clean, odour-free water is disinfected to international health and environmental standards and automatically recycled to the household's garden irrigation systems. Local councils throughout Australia are increasingly demonstrating a preference for aerobic systems, particularly in non-sewered areas.
To this end, and following the successful completion of the website development, we will be working closely with Manion Plumbing on an ongoing basis to further develop their overall branding. On the agenda is the production of additional promotional materials, such as brochures and corporate stationery. Manion Plumbing is also helping our business to become more energy efficient through the installation of a solar hot water system, which will replace the three existing hot water cylinders we have on site. If you're interested in checking out the range of services Manion Plumbing now offers (and our handy work at the same time) why not visit their website at www.manionplumbing.com.au.
Inaugural Academy of the Arts Environmental Award Sponsorship
Environmental Art Award in the frame again!

We are proud to announce the winner of the 2007 at+m integrated marketing – Rethink® Environmental Art Award – Edwina Powell. at+m integrated marketing's Environmental Art Award in collaboration with The Academy Gallery, is designed to promote the collaboration of the academic world and the business sector, and to support and encourage young artists in our community. The generous prize encourages and supports emerging young artists graduating from the University of Tasmania's – The best of the School of Visual Arts and Performing Arts. This year's exhibition, titled 'Summit' showcased these graduates along with an exhibition from TAFE Tasmania.
Having recently graduated from the University of Tasmania School of Visual and Performing Arts, Edwina has produced a range of stunning pieces based around the interaction of words and space. The powerful graphic nature of her work and the use of the materials (predominantly timber, paper and wood) caught our eye from a range of superb pieces on display at the Academy Gallery - Inveresk rail yards.
Tamar NRM Biodiversity Conference
Sponsorship
In another of our sponsorship arrangements, this year at+m integrated marketing sponsored the Tamar NRM Biodiversity Conference. In keeping with the company's own philosophy of being an environmentally responsible business, we seized the opportunity to be involved with such a like-minded organisation.
Approximately 265 delegates from overseas, every state of Australia, all levels of government, and every major primary industry attended the four day conference held in Launceston. The conference presented more than fifty-five presentations based on the key outcome theme of "Biodiversity: Balancing Conservation and Production - Case Studies from the Real World".
Through supporting the Tamar NRM Conference, we were able to inform the organisations represented at the conference, and the delegates, of our company's very real and commercially acceptable alternative to traditional printing methods. By showcasing some samples of our work, we impressed and amazed quite a few delegates.
Tamar NRM, with support from the Department of Economic Development and the Tasmanian Industry Council, is now developing short quick-time videos of the key Case Studies developed at the conference to allow interested parties to experience the essence of the presentations. Visit their website at www.tamar-nrm.org.au.
The Visitors Guide Tasmania
Where is it now?
In December 2006 we commiserated the passing of the hard copy version of the Tasmania Visitors Guide. But don't despair, this long running and successful publication continues to survive online. The website, www.tasmaniavisitorsguide.com.au, still retains all the same visitor information, such as the comprehensive and very popular Town by Town section.
To coincide with the summer peak season, and the screening of other Tasmanian tourist campaigns, we have commenced the process of updating the vast amount of visitor information available on the site. This time however, we are inviting all Tasmanian tourism operators to be part of the website's success, through purchasing advertising placement on their relevant town page.
This provides local tourism businesses with the ability to capture the attention of visitors at the very moment they are reading about a particular town. If you would like more information about this exciting advertising opportunity, why not call us today to discuss the advertising packages available.
Product Focus
Retractable Display Banners

One of our most popular products is the Retractable Display Banner. Available in the dimensions of 850mm x 2100mm, we can design and produce a display banner to suit a variety of promotional settings.
The system has recently been modified to provide its user with a fast and simple construction. Rather than wasting time fitting the stand, and then struggling with the actual banner, the system can now easily be assembled in three short movements.
These banners are great for a range of promotional and display uses. A number of our clients use the banner as a backdrop to their stall at conferences, trade shows and events. You can also have your banner coated with a UV protectant so it can be used as portable outdoor signage.
They look great in a front office area or foyer as an attractive mode of showcasing a product or corporate branding. If you would like more information on, or a quote for, this product please call us today.
Integrated Marketing Seminars
Learning how to win back your marketing budgets
Commencing in June this year, at+m integrated marketing in conjunction with Total Business Consultants ran five Integrated Marketing Seminars throughout Tasmania. The fun and interactive seminars were open to all businesses, and we were overwhelmed with the response to all seminars.
Those that attended joined us to discuss the diverse and often complex issues of integrated marketing, from brand development, websites tips, new media options such as SMS marketing and some not so new, tried and true - direct mail.
Drinks and networking offered all who remained a wonderful opportunity to talk face to face, gain some free advice and for a few - discuss the finer points of colour psychology. Keep your eyes open for invitations to attend our next round of seminars, which will be held in the not too distant future.
